Built on Leadership, Service and Community: The Story of BOR Northeast Denver

Built on Leadership, Service and Community: The Story of BOR Northeast Denver

For Stefanie and Phillip Porter, owning a business was never just about starting a company. They wanted to build something meaningful together – a business that would support their family, reflect their values, and make a lasting impact in their community.

Their Origin Stories

Before launching Best Option Restoration in Northeast Denver, Phillip spent his years in a leadership role at Chevron, where he built a reputation for leading teams, solving problems under pressure, and creating strong operational systems. Although he enjoyed great success in corporate America, he was always drawn to entrepreneurship and the opportunity to build something on his own. That drive ultimately led him to pursue a path that offered both purpose and greater flexibility for family life.

Stefanie brings a different, but equally valuable, perspective to the business. As a former franchise owner, she understands both the rewards and challenges that come with entrepreneurship. Her experience as a property and casualty claims adjuster also gave her a deep understanding of what homeowners go through during difficult moments. Today, that experience helps her guide customers through the insurance process with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Taking The Leap

When the Porters began exploring franchise opportunities, they looked at several brands and industries. But they kept coming back to the home services industry and BOR. “What stood out most was the people and the culture,” they shared. “BOR offered the structure and support of a franchise while still giving us the freedom to build the business our way.”

That balance made all the difference.

A Best Option Restoration franchise offers every owner a unique opportunity to build a successful business with the full backing of a proven brand that spans all across the US, which is perfect for people who are looking for continuous growth.

Day-To-Day at BOR NE Denver

Today, Phillip leads daily operations while Stefanie focuses on marketing, relationship-building and community partnerships throughout Denver. In just a few short months, Stefanie is developing meaningful connections with local fire departments, food pantries, pet sanctuaries and other community organizations- relationships that extend far beyond restoration work

For the Porters, success is measured by more than business growth.  They show it through reliable service, undeniable trust, and the positive impact they can have on the communities they serve.

Only five months into their BOR journey, they are already building something much bigger than a business: a company rooted in leadership, compassion, and community connection. And their story is just getting started.
